Wow,thats alot of drawings then, now I`d be more than happy for a honorable mention!

I hope all contesters are treated equily no matter from where they are,i mean,I hope American contesters dont have more chance than European for example.

I noticed there were mostly winners from America last competition, but I guess its becouse the most of drawings are send from there...big country

Oh and Gailie,do judges judge only the drawing or maybe if you wrote a short info of the weapon or named it is additional plus?
I hope its just a drawing O_O...i didnt named it nor wrote info...

I named a few of mine, especially the axe. however i guess anet may change the name to whatever they want. I don't mind as long as it's mine

EDIT: Galie, when you mean "hundreds" you mean hundreds in terms of single drawings or different contestants? (As you know ppl can send multiples in one envelope)

started drawing too late, so I only sent in 1 shield...
it's a basic drawing, but after all the basic drawing is what they use...

I have no drawing talent, but I still wanted to submit some of my ideas. Unfortunately, I haven't even had time to play the game lately, let alone draw some ideas for it. Oh well, I'm sure you guys will have better ideas anyway. I did really love the weapons that were put in last time, I can't wait to see what we get this time around. Will people be allowed to post pictures of their designs once the contest is closed, or do we have to wait?

there is so much talent beign displayed in these contests....makes the prospect to win kinda discouraging are there only going to be 25 honorable mentions like last time?

@muhkuh

I submitted sketches as well... but with this many entries they will probably only notice the well detailed ones...oh well...heres hopin.. *crosses fingers*

i'm afraid only 1-20th will get any sort of prize. 1-10 being winners while 11-20 being honorable mentions.

That's what I understood anyway.

I bet there are a lot of weapons to judge through. I wonder if we'll see some of those weapons or designs in GW:EN.

Good luck to everyone!

Btw,one question for Gaile:

Why dont you show the drawings of honorable mentions? I`d really like to see those...

Is it becouse you cant bother scanning them or maybe you dont want to show them so people wont flame you for picking winners and not some honorable mention they find better?

Thank you

Yep, it ended up just being the focus for me; dropped it in the mail yesterday (despite my husband attempting to convince me that a more unconventional delivery would be more fun).

I wanted to do some other stuff, but I've had a creative block lately (boo). I might start drawing GW characters to get over it. :: cackle ::

Really looking forward to seeing what stuff wins - new shiny things!

I started working on mine when the original contest rules were posted, which, I'm pretty sure, used to say "one entry per person". Or maybe my mind was getting all confused with the Guild Emblem contest which I had entered before. So I only did one, not that I really had any more ideas anyway.

My design was a focus. I sketched it in a 'technical drawing' style, but the drawing also includes a few "alternate designs" for one of the focus's surfaces, so I guess it's sort of like a few entries...

Gotta love America hey?
America has nothing to do with South Africa being ineligible for the contest. It has to do with the laws in your own country regarding international competitions of a certain sort, sad to say.

I am not sure how they will handle it, but I would think that once the winners are announced, you may be able to post pictures of your entries, unless there is some legal stipulation I don't know about. I am sure Gaile will address this.
